Sort order. Apr 26, Mariae rated it it was amazing Shelves: And I don't think Cami and Dylan could survive all of that in a year! A YEAR?! If I were them it would took me forever to recover from all that shit you've put them through! Jeeez I'm so mad I'm shaking!!!!!!!! I've never been so mad about about a book before so because of that, I'll give this 5 stars! Hee hee just kidding. I love you Lacey and I'll give this 5 stars because you're awesome! I'm still mad at you though.
Apr 13, Natalie rated it it was amazing. This book is awesome. And awful. Jaw-droppingly amazing. Seriously, I may not be able to sleep tonight. Are you trying to kill me, Lacey??? It started with the sweetest, most swoonworthy Valentine's Day ever, as celebrated by Cami and Dylan Wilcock. They were so happy, laughing over racy humor and reveling in their love for each other. I sighed and awwed, chortling a little at their antics, but underneath there was a sort of dreadful anticipation.
In s Oh. In suspense stories, I've noticed that the happier the main characters are at the beginning, the worse it is going to be before the end. Never has that been more true. I was glued to every page from beginning to end. I guessed the identity of the troublemaker pretty early on, but there were a couple of twists that I did not see coming. While the mystery wasn't all that mysterious, the suspense was I swear, I didn't move at all during the latter two thirds of the book except to turn pages.
If you are an angst weenie, this book is not for you.
As for me, I loved it, even when it made me cry. Which it did. A lot. Cami and Dylan were at their absolute best. I don't want to spoil anything, but you see new sides to them that made me love them even more.
Especially Dylan. Russ, Dylan's best friend and fellow firefighter, played a large part in the story, and I think he could make a great hero in his own right.
I can fall in love with two characters in one book, right? Love is darker, more intense than Crush or Smitten and it is officially my new favorite Lacey Weatherford novel. The emotions are so powerfully conveyed that I felt each and every one of them along with the characters. Now that it's over, I find myself torn between my usual, selfish desire for a sequel and a wish that Cami and Dylan never experience enough trouble to warrant another novel again. I received an e-copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Feb 10, Christel rated it liked it Shelves: I can't wait to read it! View all 5 comments. Feb 14, K3 rated it really liked it. Then I set out to show her. Dylan and Cami finally get their happy ever after. Picking up a little before Smitten left off, Dyl My 4. Picking up a little before Smitten left off, Dylan and Cami are getting ready for the next chapter in their lives While adjusting to her growing belly, Cami is exhausted, preparing for the baby, taking care of a new puppy and writing her music.
He nodded confirming my conclusion. And why? They are forced into hiding. Cami does her best to remain strong while Dylan stops at nothing to find out who is behind it all.
Give me another chance. This is one of my favorite series. This book had it all! Love and I mean the full on blissed out love, happiness, excitement, suspense, loss and violence.
Have the tissues handy because Lacey serves up heart ache after heart ache on a silver platter. My heart broke over and over again.
I mean jawdroppingheartbreakingagony. I admit, I was cursing the author a time or two. Oh and did I mention that tissues are needed?
They say god only gives you what you can handle Well Dylan and Cami are pretty much super heroes in my book! He is such a wonderful character and a great friend that anyone to be honored and blessed to have in their lives. I highly recommend this series. A wonderful read. Lacey did a fantastic job. View 1 comment. Apr 11, Three Chicks rated it really liked it. They had just moved into a huge house and life was good. Love starts out a little bit before that, with Cami surprising Dylan with her pregnancy news.
He is ecstatic and they make plans for their new baby boy. I hope our children will know how lucky they are. Cami is blissfully unaware of what is going on. Dylan brought home a Dalmatian puppy and she is in love. Along with caring and training for her new puppy, she is planning the nursery and still working on her music. The incidences are growing more frequent and then things take a horrible turn. Get out the tissues and keep them coming, because you are going to need them! It is one heart break after another and the violence mounts.
Cami and Dylan try so hard to overcome their grief but at one point they are almost drowning in sorrow. I had big, fat tears rolling down my eyes, and in the next moment, I kept holding my breath because I was so scared and overwhelmed by the events. Who is doing these things and why? I love you. I just could not believe what was happening to these two characters.
My heart broke for them and at one point; I had to step away from the story for a bit. I love you so much. She is one strong, resourceful female character. I hope their best friend Russ gets a story. Apr 14, Jackie Kiwibooknerd rated it really liked it Shelves: I am always happy when we get more Dylan and Cami, so I thoroughly enjoyed this book A bit hectic and sad what all happened to them, but what I really liked the most was that they pulled through together and the book did not see them ripping each other apart Looking forward to reading about Russ soon Nov 24, Carly Wardell rated it it was amazing Shelves: Can't wait for this book!
Look at that cover, those pearly whites. It blinds me he can blind me any day: Love the little heart note pegged on the line.
It's so cute. I don't want to wait until February. I want it now. D I think we deserve some of that since the ending of the last book. After reading: This book was so emotional.
I was laughing one minute and then the next, I'm crying. Better have the tissue boxes when reading this one. This book is absolutely amazing! Th Can't wait for this book! The relationship between Cami and Dylan was so sweet. They were adorable. Can't wait for the next book which is about Russ! Hope we get to see a bit of Dylan and Cami in that one as well.
Jan 03, Sara Mckibben rated it it was amazing. I loved this book!! View all 8 comments. Mar 19, SammiesBookBlog rated it it was amazing Shelves: I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review. So Love the final installment deserves more than 5 stars. There aren't enough stars I could give this. We start out a couple years after everything happened in book 2. Everything is going smoothly and we get to see Hunter and Cami happy and pregnant with their first child. Crazy a I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Crazy and creepy stuff starts happening early on.
Little minor things that start leading up to major and huge things. Realizing something is not right and they are being stalker and their lives are in danger they enter witness protection.
And they are trying to move on with their lives and be happy and care free.
But out of nowhere their lives are turned upside down yet again. They were found and things will never be the same.
I cannot give too much away. I had like 4 LOL. It was very fun and intense.
I love these characters. Hunter, how he takes care of Cami and loves her, he is probably one of the sweetest and most amazing fictional male characters EVER.
Serie Crush (1 y 2) - Lacey Weatherford
If you ask me, he seems like a cool guy who actually cared about her. But due to the undying love she is suppose to feel for Dylan, he was always the devil. Even a smidgen of interest would be more believable I never really saw Hunter excuse me while I interchange name throughout , as a police officer in this one, much less an undercover one. It was easier to believe from book 1 because of the time of the reveal and the story line that focused more on the relationship they had as oppose to the case.
In this one, it was all cop work, and it was all bad!
I understand Cami being a virgin but c'mon now I had to re-read that part to make sure that the act was actually done. After all this time, we could have gotten more.
See a Problem?
Also, everyone seemed to be pretty chill with a civilian planted in the middle of an undercover police investigation and that just once again take me back to the unrealistic level of this novel.
He leaned forward, placing his arms on his desk and turned to stare at me. He was so close he seemed intimidating, like he noticed everything about me with just one glance. It made me feel self-conscious. Stuart paused at our desks and handed us a piece of paper before she returned to the front of the room. As you can see, there are several paragraphs on this. All but one are punctuated incorrectly. In the space below each paragraph, rewrite it the way you think it should be.
When you find the correct one, circle it. Put both your names in the top corner, and turn it in before the bell please. You may begin. Hunter grabbed the paper and penciled his name in before sliding it over. I hissed. I knew guys like him. They sucked up to you until they got what they wanted and then acted like you were no one the next time you were around. Never mind. I picked up the paper to begin reading, but he placed his hand on it, flattening it against the desk.
Can we do this please? I gestured to the assignment. Okay, where do you think the punctuation goes? I asked, not wanting to share my knowledge all of a sudden. You have a musical quality to your voice. I fumbled, trying to find words. Where did you hear that?
I narrowed my eyes. Have you been talking to people about me? He laughed. Of course. Guys always talk to each other about the pretty girls at school. He bumped his shoulder into mine in a friendly gesture. My mouth popped open, and I was reduced to the facial movements of a fish.
You know how it is, he added. Social status and all that. He lifted an eyebrow in question, and I noticed the color of his eyes again for the second time today. He appeared unfazed by my objection.
I laughed in spite of myself. I kind of like it. He grinned. Pretty much, yeah. He grabbed the paper, read the next paragraph, and we took turns marking the punctuation together. He got a couple wrong, and I had to explain the rules to him. I chewed lightly on the tip of my pencil eraser as I quickly skimmed through the next paragraph. I think this is the correct one.
Do you want to read it before I circle it? I stiffened, suddenly worried about where this conversation might be headed. My dad has a fundraiser concert and dinner on Saturday for his Jazz band. Yeah, my mom is the choir director at New Mexico West University, and my dad is the band director.
It was their dream jobs to find two positions together like they did here. He looked shocked for a second before he laughed.
What a small world. So you know how painful it is to move from there to a middle-of-nowhere place like Copper City then.
I nodded. We moved when I was five. I let my sentence dwindle off at his horrified look. Yeah, Copper City is definitely not your kind of thing. I believe your life can be whatever you want to make of it.
I lifted my chin defiantly, daring him to challenge me.
He squinted his gorgeous eyes. Just some worthless partier? He grinned and sat up, grabbing the paper on the desk in front of me. I like you, Goody. No one mentioned you were so snarky.
He started reading the next paragraph out loud before I could respond. Now he was suddenly Mr. He would probably forget all about me by tomorrow. I cast another glance over her form—slender, yet round in all the right places.
Her curly, red hair bounced with every shake of her head as she talked animatedly to her best friend, Clay. He was almost the classic nerd stereotype. Slick hair combed with a rigid part, plaid shirts, with pens in his pocket protector. He wore glasses, but they were decent looking ones—not the typical thick coke bottle glasses that were taped in the middle that most people associated with the type.
My attention returned to the beautiful girl at his side.
Crush by Lacey Weatherford
What a pair. She was considered nerdy by association, which was a shame seeing how she was drop-dead gorgeous. Even though Clay claimed to have a girlfriend in another town, there was still some speculation on whether or not these two might actually be an item. I released a frustrated sigh.
I liked her instantly. It was fun to push her buttons and mess with her for a bit. She was unsure of me. I could tell from the way her honey eyes rounded in surprise and how she chewed on her apricot colored bottom lip, her perfect skin blushing softly like an overripe peach.
Growling, I shifted slightly in my seat. I made her sound like she was a fruit salad just waiting for me to take a bite. There will be no biting of anyone, I reminded myself, frowning at my internal dialogue. Strictly off limits. I asked. Oh, sorry. I could think of a million other things I would rather be doing right now. I hated being stuck in this dumb science lab, or any class for that matter. I was so over high school. The series is definitely in this order: Left a lot to be desired and a few questions.
It was a great read with smart characters. Besides, I was pretty sure he was messing with me. My heart broke for them and at one point; I had to step away from the story for a bit. This is crazy. Vampires, humans, cops, and gangsters collide in the dark streets of Mexico City. Tangled 5 of 7.
